Friday Thought
Between The Daily Show and The Colbert Report, there are no more dependably outstanding, smart, hysterical television shows. This is not news. Took a few weeks for Colbert to find his groove, but if you haven't tuned in since then, I suggest you give it another shot.
But when flipping the other night, I fucking cracked up consistently when I came across this show. Man, that is some funny shit. Makes me far less worried that this country is in real trouble, because very, very few people can really take this shit seriously.

oh yeah. hells yeah. the daily show has been a standard for a long time... thank god that dweeb... shit, what was his name, oh yeah. kilborn left. that is like losing a boy/girlfriend that you swear is the best thing ever and being really sad and then having the love of your life come to you. yes, jon stewart.
and losing colbert... that's a shame, but he's really doing his family proud. the 'word' is the bomb. also, it's interesting, cause he sort of fucks up here and there, and they just leave it in. sometimes, he flubs a word here or there when he's reading, or they don't have a graphic he wants and it's just like...oh well. i love that. so good. love love love to those guys.
although, what happened to dan bakkedahl, the guy from the chicago improv scene who had like one segment on the daily and now i've never seen him again? that's weird. and now they're using nat cordrry (...__'s younger bro? i can't think of his name right at the moment, either. for shame.), which seems like terrible nepotism, but he's really funny. thing is, what happened to ___?
man, my memory is for shit today.
anyway, i second that emotion. great stuff. is it horrible that it's the only place i get my news?
