Old Guy

I was making a sandwich for my older son and he asked for jelly only - no peanut butter. I said, "Jelly without peanut butter is like Daryl Hall without John Oates". He stared at me blankly for a moment and then said, "Dad, I have no idea what you're talking about."

So I had one of my youthful friends/coworkers call me on being old because I say "mobile" phone instead of "cel" phone. He was attempting to educate me that mobile phones came before cellular phone. Yeah . . . nnnNo

Funny you should mention: I do the same thing. Wasn't cellular technology ditched some number of years ago? I'm witchoo - I call mine a "mobile phone", not a "cell phone". I also call my vehicle a "car", as opposed to calling it a "horseless carriage".
