DNA, I Have Let You Down, I Am Sorry

Sigh.

I am a weak consumerist who could not resist the $500 incentive to load the thing up with big, fancy gear. I have failed. I am small. I am expecting a UPS shipment in a few weeks that will make my shallow-ass happy as I work on my dissertation over very expensive cups of coffee.

Yeah. I have failed you.

I wanted the Fujitsu, to tell you the truth. The reviews on that machine are fantastic, and it comes with way less preloaded crap software than the Dell. But Dell was running a deal on essentially the same computer, and I got WAY more machine for less money. Boatloads and truckloads of RAM and memory, a superfast processor and wireless component, and some good software that I need. As with most Dells I'll have to spend a month or two de-programing the autostart bullshit, but after that I think this will be a great machine. This laptop should literally work for me for five years. If it doesn't then I've made a bad investment.

Which is not your point.

I'm a PC guy, and I couldn't help myself. I'd have looked at the macs if my desktop deathstar was not a PC, but I'm going to try to make these computers really work together.

Which is also not your point.

I know your point, and I am ashamed.

I need Vinnissimo to tell me that I'm OK.

Excellent lifestyle choice my consumerist compadre. Although I prefer the macs myself. But hey, that's what makes the world go around.
