I Was Mean Today
I rolled my eyes and snapped at the financial aid flunky today. She's not really that great at her job and the school lost my financial aid, and the thing is that those two things really aren't related. The fact that she's not great at her job doesn't mean I should be mean. The fact that the school lost my money doesn't mean it's her fault. I have apologized. She accepted. Doesn't make me feel all that great when this stuff happens, though.

If you apologized and she accepted then there should be closure. just as we all should accept that incompetence is a part of daily life (esp. in the service industries), we all should likewise accept that we can snap from time to time. as long as you did no physical harm, she understanding that you were having a bad day should come as part of you understanding that her dim-wittedness was not a part of your lost financial aid.
