I have overcome my fear of utilizing the self-cleaning feature on my oven. I'm giving it a shot.

I am huge.

What's the deal with this? Once your central air filter, vacuum filter, and water filter reaches a certain threshold, like one week, it turns from a "filtering OUT device" to a "filtering IN device" something akin to a coffee filter. We are breathing air filtered through a trap of yuck. Drinking water through a trap of goo. And while vacuuming we are explosively running our breathing air through everything in our carpet.

Solution

Self cleaning filters. If the ionic breeze has the ability to attract and repel stuff -- well then do so to the drainpipe and save me the step.
