If you go through the top 10, which is well worth your time, you'll see the Manowar album cover. Manowar is from Auburn, NY, which is a short distance from where I grew up. A number of my friends were hardcore Manowar friends and my primary bass teacher also tutored Manowar's bassist.
They were always into that quasi-Wagnerian death-to-false-metal thing, which is its own interesting subculture. They filmed a video at a local dirt-track racing speedway, which probably tells you a whole lot about the sort of place I grew up. Teo and Vinnissimo can both attest to my hometown - such as it is at 1,500 people - being something like idyllic on a lazy summer day. Apart from that, it's largely about dirt track speedways and smalltown poverty.

Kev, that discription of Manowar that you linked to his hysterical!
Yeah, it's good stuff. God bless the good people at Google for making the web so darn searchable.
Teo this is so great. Thanks! You too Kevlar!
