Study Breaks

When one has played drums for 30 years (ouch), it is impossible not to be an exceptionally accomplished air-drummer, especially when actual drumming in one's life is scarce and one is in dire need of fantastical study breaks where one is still convinced of the possibility of world drumming domination.

I love to air drum and believe strongly in the possibility of world drumming domination.

i love to air drum (even though i know i'm such a poseur. i mean, i have some okay moves, until it gets to the point where too many detailed hand movements need to get going, and then i'm like...how does ANYONE play the fucking drums? i haven't even begun to get feet involved?!?!), i love to air violin!! i love to air guitar (see poseur comment above), i love to air piano (i do a mean rendition of jerry lee lewis' "great balls of fire" -- i actually can play some piano, self taught, feel like less of a poseur).

i was told by a drummer that nearly any person will stop anywhere and bust out air drum to the breakdown to "in the air tonight." personally, i like those mega fast drum freakout things (don't know what they're technically called) in the last burst before the last chorus to urge overkill's "sister havana."

okay. i'm done. i'm lame.
