Vinnissimo-

I purchased the William Shatner record ("Has Been") at your recommendation from the iTunes store. Without exaggeration, it's one of my favorite records of the past year or two. Absolutely great - and I probably wouldn't have bought it without your endorsement.

Does "Tipping Point" feature a shouting duet with Henry Rollins?

And just in case anyone thought I was kidding, I really do think the Shatner record is great, and not in an ironic it's-so-bad-it's-good way. I genuinely love that record.

Is that the Shatner/Ben Folds combo?

I have been wanting to read that book for a while.

Yes, the recording is the Shatner/Folds combo.

I regret that William Shatner has no relation to the book. Remember those TekWar books he wrote? I never read them - and I don't expect I ever will - but it always struck me as funny that "Tek" was one letter from "Trek". It's like Lee Majors writing books about the six billion dollar man.

times change

six million dollars might buy you an OK bionic arm. certainly not one that could lift cars. and forget about the crazy legs and the wicked eye. and you KNOW that a six million dollar bionic outfit absolutely would be the basic model these days, so you can also forget about the cool sound effects that came as part of the standard package way back when. you'd have to buy the deluxe package these days if you wanted the sounds.

i wanna be bionic. that'd be cool.
